It’s time to crack down on dangerous driving

Daily, during the busy periods in Swansea, driving a car is war and, in war, you don’t tell your enemy your next move. That’s why most people don’t use indicators.

Please tell me I’m not the only one seeing this. Is it any wonder that road rage is on the increase?

In addition to this, very few road users have the time and patience for the cyclists that are now increasingly present on our roads. During rush hour, it’s a free for all.

We are in such a rush that we are putting lives at risk. Safety goes out the window.

I have seen some ridiculous overtaking manoeuvres this week, and the drivers in question risk their lives and that of the innocent other drivers on the road just to get one space ahead.

North Wales Police have now introduced Operation Snap, where drivers can submit dash-cam footage relating to driving offences, including using mobiles when driving and dangerous or careless driving.

What a great idea, let’s hope this is rolled out throughout the UK in a bid to lower accidents and keep us all a bit safer on the roads.
